Privacy Policy for Minesweeper and Minesweeper Pro

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the Minesweeper and Minesweeper Pro mobile applications (“the App”) operated by Mindware Consulting, Inc. (“us”, “we”, or “our”). This policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your data when you use our App.
2. Data Collection and Use
- Accounts and Player Data: You can play without creating a Mindware account. On Android, optional Google Play Games sign-in uses your Google player profile and identifiers to provide leaderboards and achievements, including submitted scores and achievement progress. Local player profiles, settings, and local scores are stored on your device. Not signing in does not stop the automatic SDK data collection described below.
- Usage and Diagnostic Data: The Android apps use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Remote Config. These services process app interactions, app and device information, installation identifiers, and crash or diagnostic information to measure usage, troubleshoot problems, and configure app features. These services may operate without game-services sign-in.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, understand how our App is used, and for analytics purposes. You can configure your device settings to refuse cookies or alert you when a cookie is being sent.
3. Use of Data
The data we collect is used to provide and enhance the App, including:
- Maintaining and improving the App.
- Analyzing how our App is used for optimization.
- Complying with legal obligations and ensuring the security of the App.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
The Android apps use Google Play Games and Firebase services. The free Android edition also uses Google AdMob advertising; Minesweeper Pro does not display advertising. Advertising services may process IP addresses (including general location inferred from the IP address), ad and app identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostics for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention, subject to applicable consent and device settings. Provider processing can involve servers outside your country.

5. Data Security
Local gameplay data is stored on your device, while data used by the services described above is processed on their systems. Firebase and Google Mobile Ads use encrypted connections for SDK data in transit. For privacy or data-deletion requests, contact [email protected]. You can manage Google Play Games data through Google Play Games settings and manage advertising identifiers through your device settings.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 18. If a parent or guardian believes that we have inadvertently collected such information, they should contact us for its removal.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this policy and through in-app notifications.
