WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Your game results, levels, settings and, if you turn them on, your check-ins (mood, energy and clarity ratings, tags and notes) are saved in the app’s storage on this device. The app doesn’t encrypt this data itself, so protect your device. Android cloud backup and device transfer are switched off for the app; other platforms’ backups follow your system settings. Turning check-ins off keeps earlier entries. Uninstalling the app can remove everything.

ADS
The free version on Android and iOS shows labeled Google AdMob native ads inside the main screens, and offers an optional rewarded video for an extra game once a game’s free round is used. Ads never appear during a game. Plus, or active data sharing, removes ads. Ad requests ask for non-personalized, age-restricted ads with a general-audience content rating. We never pass your games, check-ins, notes or IDs to AdMob. The app does not use the Android advertising ID and does not ask for Apple tracking permission.

Google’s ad software may process your IP address, approximate location derived from it, app and device information and identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostics to show ads, prevent fraud and measure delivery. Google’s privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Where required, Google’s consent message asks for your choices; you can change them under Settings, Ad privacy choices. A video that closes early, fails or isn’t available never unlocks a game.

Windows, Linux and the web version show no ads. There, each game has one free round a day, and Plus can be linked from a subscription bought in the Android or Apple app.

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND ACCESS CODES
RevenueCat and your app store process a random access identity, purchase receipts, subscription status, app and device information and diagnostics to confirm and restore Plus. We never see your card details. RevenueCat’s privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. Your store’s billing and refund terms apply. Plus never requires sharing data. Your private access code links Plus on another device; it doesn’t copy your games or check-ins. Keep it private.

OPTIONAL DATA SHARING (ADULTS ONLY)
Sharing is off unless you turn it on, and the service isn’t open in the current version. If you turn it on, Mindware receives only your future game results (game, mode, score, level, hits, mistakes, misses, streak and play time) and, if you use check-ins, your three ratings. Each record has a random participant ID and a time rounded to the minute. Notes, tags, your name, email, advertising IDs and purchase details are never sent. Records from before you turned sharing on are never sent.

We use this to look at whether play and check-in ratings move together. It’s product research, not a clinical study, and it can’t show that the games change health or thinking. You never have to play a set amount, check in, or report feeling good. Records go to Mindware’s private Microsoft Azure storage, encrypted in transit and at rest, readable only by authorized staff, and kept for up to 12 months. They are not sold, given to advertisers or published as individual records. Our servers see your IP address while handling a request but don’t store it with your records.

On Android and the web, sharing gives the same access as Plus for 1 day after you turn it on and for 14 days after each game result that syncs. Stopping sharing ends that access; a paid subscription is separate. On Apple devices, paid features never depend on sharing. You can stop sharing, export what you shared, or delete it from the sharing screen at any time. Stopping takes effect on the device straight away, even offline; deleting from our server needs a connection and can be retried. Aggregate summaries that were already published can’t be removed.

YOUR CONTROLS
Settings lets you export a backup file (you choose where it goes), restore a backup (it is checked first, then replaces the data on this device) and erase your history. Erasing history doesn’t cancel a subscription, reset free rounds, or delete data you shared; manage sharing separately. Copies you exported, and device backups, are yours to manage. To ask about or delete data held by Mindware or its processors, email [email protected]. App stores may keep transaction records as the law requires.

RATINGS AND FEEDBACK
After a good moment, such as a new best score or a three-day streak, the app may ask your store to show its standard rating prompt, no more than three times a year and at least 90 days apart. It never asks whether you like the app first, and the store decides whether the prompt appears. Private feedback goes to [email protected].

AGE AND PURPOSE
Little Shift is for people aged 13 and over and isn’t designed for children under 13. Data sharing is for adults aged 18 and over. The app is for fun and practice. It doesn’t diagnose or treat any condition and doesn’t promise health or brain benefits.
