Mindware Consulting, Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Mind Games Evolved
mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and
protect your information when you use the App.
Information We Collect
Game Performance and App Activity
We collect game names, scores, accuracy, reaction times, play dates, standardized-score
results, and related gameplay metrics. After you have recorded several scores, the App
periodically sends unsynced scores to our Microsoft Azure service to maintain norms and
support score services. We also record events such as app opens, screens viewed, game starts
and completions, streak activity, subscription interactions, notification interactions, and
ad impressions for analytics, reliability, and product improvement.
Year of Birth
You may provide your year of birth so the App can calculate an age band and provide
age-appropriate normative comparisons. Your year of birth is stored locally. The derived age
is included with game performance records sent to our service. You can use the App without
providing a year of birth, but standardized scores and percentiles will be unavailable.
Device, Advertising, and Diagnostic Information
Our service providers may collect IP address (which can indicate approximate location),
device and app identifiers, operating system and device information, app and ad interactions,
performance information, crash logs, and diagnostic data. Google AdMob uses some of this data
for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Firebase uses it for analytics, crash
reporting, configuration, and notifications.
Subscription Information
If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or
Google (Play Store). We do not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat, our
subscription management provider, receives purchase history, product, entitlement, and
pseudonymous app-user information needed to validate and manage access.
How We Use Your Information
- To calculate and display your game performance scores
- To compare your performance against age-appropriate normative data
- To track your progress and streaks over time
- To upload score records and maintain score and normative services
- To provide subscriptions, advertising, notifications, and other App features
- To analyze usage, prevent fraud, monitor reliability, and fix bugs
Data Storage
Your game data is stored in the App’s local database. Score and event records are also sent
over encrypted connections to services hosted on Microsoft Azure. Service providers retain
other data according to their own retention policies. We use reasonable administrative,
technical, and organizational safeguards, but no storage or transmission system is completely
secure.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat: Subscription management
- Google AdMob: Advertising (for free-tier users only; ads are removed with Google Play Pass or any paid entitlement)
- Firebase: Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, installation services,
and push notifications - Microsoft Azure: Score, norms, and app-event services
AdMob may collect or share IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device
or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Where required, the
App presents Google’s consent choices before requesting ads. You can revisit available choices
from the App’s About screen and can also use your device advertising controls.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose data to the service providers
described above to operate the App. AdMob may share advertising-related data as described in
Google’s policies and your consent choices. We may also disclose aggregated or de-identified
performance information for research, or information when required by law or to protect rights
and safety.
Children’s Privacy
Mind Games Evolved is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13.
If a user provides a year of birth indicating that they may be under 13, the App disables
remote analytics and event logging, score and norms synchronization, push-token registration,
and new online purchases. Anonymous billing-entitlement validation remains active only to honor
Google Play Pass and purchases already made;
it does not receive the user’s year of birth or game-performance data. Local reminders can continue
on the device. Advertising uses Google’s child age treatment. That user’s game-performance records
and derived age remain only on the device. This restricted mode remains active if the year is cleared and ends only after a
corrected year clearly indicates that the user is at least 13. If you believe a child has
otherwise provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where
appropriate.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your local game data remains until you remove it or uninstall the App. Server and provider
records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above,
legal obligations, security, and backup cycles. You may request deletion of data associated
with you by contacting us. Because current score uploads use a non-account local-player label,
we may need information such as approximate dates and device details to locate a record, and
in some cases may be unable to link a pseudonymous record back to you.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your game data (available within the App)
- Delete your local data (by uninstalling the App)
- Request deletion of data that we can reasonably associate with you
- Opt out of personalized advertising
- Disable push notifications
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by
posting the new policy within the App and updating the “Last Updated” date.
